[SOLVED] HP Omen 870-244 HDD removal

Recently gutting this system, but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the HDD from this case...
Does anyone know exactly what the process is?
It appears that the front panel must com off to do this, but again, I can't seem to figure out how it can safely be removed.

Any help appreciated!

It opens as a "normal" computer case would, unscrew the thumbscrews on the back that hold the sidepanel closed:

the hdd itself doesnt seem to be easily removable, i can open the side panel fine. the drive appears to be screwed in at an angle only accessible by removing the front panel which itself doesnt appear to be easily removable

Ah, like that. There's black tabs that hold the front panel in place. Near the bottom under the HDD, just above it and at the top of the case:

it seemed to have resistance when removing those tabs, is it okay to just pull it off?
