I have a MS 7613 (Iona-gl8e) mobo which is a HP oem
I have 8gb of ddr3 1333mhz 240 pin 10600 (4 x 2gb ram)
i3 550
500 watt cooler master 80+ psu
1tb hdd 7200rpm
GTX 660ti (upgraded from HD 5450)
With the HD 5450 everything in the system works perfectly fine. Display output is working and audio is working. But after uninstalling the amd driver and taking out the HD 5450 and replacing it with the GTX 660ti, i get no video signal when turning on the computer. There are no loud beeps and the fan on the gtx 660ti even spins. The numlock light on my keyboard also responds in this no display state. I have read in hp forums that I should have no issue installing a gtx 660ti because only 700 and above cards are not supported by the bios of my board (HP 6.12). Can anyone please help me fix this problem!

Hi so I have done that. But in the device manager setting it does not appear. The only device adapter is the intel Standard VGA one. My bios version for my mobo MS 7613 is 6.18 (released in 2012). The nvidia driver set-up also failed stating "could not find any compatible hardware". Could it be that the bios is not detecting the card because that would be strange a 2012 bios software not supporting a 2012 gpu? Or could it be that the graphics card is dead even though its fan still spins? Everything else work with the HD 5450 it came with? Is there anyway I can check if my PCI-express port is occupied?

Enter your BIOS at startup and navigate to find the PCI section. Since your board is OEM I really have no idea what your BIOS looks like so you’ll have to do some work to find the PCI ports in there.

Also look for a section in the BIOS allowing you to update (or flash) the BIOS.
