I have an HP Pavilion p6710f that I have had about a year and have been running my GeForce 8800 GTS that I have had for about 6 years in it. Unfortunately my 8800 seems to have died. I am now looking at getting a new card to replace the card and wondering what might be compatible with this system. Any help would be appreciated.

I was more thinking PSU. That do have only 250w psu ^^

Internal 250W (100-240V)

Form factor: internal ATX
Total Wattage: 250W
Nominal input voltage range:
100-127V ~6A
200-240V ~3A
Dimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

Can u test that video card in other build?

I m just worried thatyur psu is so weak that it can not handle anymore cpu + video card. New video card is easy to find :)

No, I replaced the power supply as soon as I got this system, as I knew the stock one wouldn't handle the 8800. Pulled system open and found it has an Antec BP500 psu (500w) in it. So psu should be able to support most single GPU cards out there. As this motherboard only has one PCIe x16 slot, it seems that should be sufficient.

Anyone have any ideas on which GPUs currently available this motherboard will support? N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX

With a 500w psu, you can basically run most of the cards available today, the only limit would be the cpu bottle-necking the performance.

Good mid range cards is the ATI 7770 or nVidia 560 ti and should break the bank, but depends what you want to do with the sytsem.

So basically my system should handle most any graphics card out there. My current budget is $50-100. Any suggestions on which card(s) might be best? I mainly use my system for gaming - Eve Online, DDO, Assassin's Creed 2 (3 soon), Splinter Cell (various) and Sniper Ghost Warrior.

I upgraded my RAM a while ago to 12gb
I am running on a Samsung SyncMaster S24B240 monitor
