HP P6720f new WiFi card update for

I am trying to help someone with an HP Desktop -- an HP P6720f -- to update to an AC wireless card.
1.) Will an Intel AC PCIe Wifi card -- or an Intel ACPCIe mini card work in this HP?
(I have heard that the HP BIOS checks some sort of whitelist.)
2. If no to 1.) what AC WiFi card will work in this HP P6720f.

That only applies to HP laptops which have a factory-fitted WiFi card.
Since (most) desktop PCs don't come with a WiFi card, the BIOS can't possibly have anything to do with it.

On a desktop PC, any wireless card will be okay as long as it physically fits, and matches the type of expansion slot you're going to put it in.
