HP Pavilion a1740n Motherboard Replacement

I have this HP a1470n case that belongs to a friend, long story short, the motherboard is broken. He wants to stick something in this case on a budget. The HP website says the Motherboard is MicroATX, so does that mean I can put any other MicroATX board in? I know it sounds silly, but I would hate to buy the new one and not know.
