As part of the upgrade for my Desktop computer I need to find a compatible 450W PSU and was pointed in the direction of the Corsair range but looking through the forums it seems some people are reporting faults with various types so not really keen on this idea so at the moment I'm a little stumped.
My computer was built for me some years ago and isn't in its original case but the information i can give is as follows.....
Motherboard is a HP Pavilion D33007 VG31 Socket 478 Tango, onboard sound video and Lan VGA, 3xpci 20 pin (P1) ATX power connector.
Currently fitted is an ASUS Radeon 7000 64MB Graphics card and a Sound Blaster sound card.
2 Stickers on motherboard state P/N 53 - 80534 - 06, and KGV - 2901637.
32bit Windows XP Professional (currently) Operating system.
2 GiG of RAM and an Intel Pentium 4, 2.8 GiG CPU.
I currently have a PSU with 8 connectors from an old DELL computer which I fitted after my original one blew which is only a 250W so not good enough for my needs so If anyone can please suggest or point me in the direction of a good 450W Compatible PSU I would be very grateful, thanks
