HP Pavilion dv4t-1400 graphics card dead?

Hi all. This is my old laptop 6 years old. Today I tried to turn it on. The back lights are lit, so I assume the screen is functional, but the screen stays black. I also hear the laptop reach the vista start up screen. Heck if I hit enter I can hear it logging into my guest account. Is the graphics card on this laptop dead? And can I fix this?

try hooking it up to a monitor and see if it works

Nope. Nothing on the monitor either that is confirmed to be working with my desktop. Also tried switching viewer modes on my laptop just in case. Still no visual output.
