Hp pavilion dv9700 screen problem

Hello,

I have an hp pavilion dv9700 which is running windows vista, I can see everything on the screen but I have lines running through the screen, which comes and goes (the screen gets blurry), what should I do or where do you think the problem lies?

Try a different monitor, or take this monitor to different computer, will let you know if monitor is at fault.
Connections secure ? Graphics card dusty ?

Sorry about that - I usually look the model up, but didn't this time. That'll teach me !

Might check the connection from screen to mobo to see if loose.
