Hi i have a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 i bought a new nvidia 960gtx video card (upgrading from 550gtx nvidia) My pc wont start up and so i was told to update the bios but im very scared ill update the wrong one, can anyone link me the latest bios version so i dont get the wrong one?

Before you update the BIOS, have you checked that your computer has enough power for the new graphics card? Packages systems tend to deliver a PSU that meets the requirements of that PC when they sell it, not leaving much room for upgrades except adding a hard disk or two.

According to HP (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-HPE-h8-1200-Desktop-PC-series/5187019/model/5192451/document/c03154290/) that system came with a 300w power supply. Are you using the molex to 6pin PCIe adapters? That won't be enough to power that card. Comparing the lowest model EVGA GTX 960, it shows minimum, 400 watt power supply required for that card. You may need to upgrade the PSU.

My apologies then - I was going off the HP site based on your model, that's the only one I saw available for download. Sorry I wasn't more helpful. Good luck
