HP Pavilion integrated graphics driver belly up..

Hello,

My dad's HP Pavilion graphics driver (integrated) seems to have gone belly up...got a Geforce 210 but still doesn't work (the monitor works with his old PC fine)...not compatible?

Uninstall all the old drivers first. Then reinstall the GT210 drivers from the Nvidia website. If the GT210 isn't picked up - there's a setting you can change in the BIOS to use the PCIE card instead of onboard.

Thank you for the prompt reply but biggest problem is that monitor doesn't work even to allow me to uninstall old drivers...I thought that the new card would override and allow me to uninstall the old after start up but can't get that far. Perhaps a faulty new card?

Check your bios and see if it is using your PCI slot as your primary output.

Is it possible to check bios when you can't see anything on the monitor?
