Hp Pavilion m6 1035dx won't power on

I was using my laptop the other day, no problems, then when I woke up and tried turning it on via the power button, nothing happens. It seems like the battery is getting power from adapter, but still no success I've tried numerous things with no luck. Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated. I've only had the laptop for about 9 months

try this
disconnect electric plug
un plug battery
press and hold power button for 30 second then release it
wait for 30 minutes
then plug battery and electric
and turn it on
