I built my own computer with an ASUS M3A76 motherboard in an HP Pavilion a324x mid-tower case. The power button on the case has a six-wire configuration: yellow/black, red/black/ and blue/black. I followed the diagram in the motherboard booklet as best I can follow, but when the system power is off, start-up is cumbersome. One push gets me to the BIOS screen but then it freezes. Turning power off and restarting, gets me past the BIOS to the Windows startup, but freezes mid-way. Turning power off and restarting third time always works. No problems doing a soft restart, but full system restart always takes three tries.

I think I may have some of the wires on the wrong pins. I'm using the yellow/black for the PLED and IDE pins, the red/black for the power and blue/black for the speaker. Nothing on the 5V or ground pins. Anybody got any suggestions?
