Question HP Pavillion G6 continuous beep on startup.

My HP pavillion laptop computer will sometimes give a continuous beep with an underlying click at about 1 second intervals, on startup. It sometimes will not boot.
Just as frequently, it will boot after 15 or 30 second of this noise and operate otherwise all ok.
Can anyone direct me to the problem and advise how to fix it please?
Running Linux Mint 19.3 operating system.

Exact model? Too bad these G6 models sometimes have bad northbridge chip on the motherboard or dying Gpu chip. If its amd gpu then your are doomed

HP Pavillion G6 560 I think.
Sorry I am not sure.............this is a salvaged computer.
But it must be indicated somewhere?
