HP Printer keeps saying to add paper, but it's in

Hello,
HP 1210 printer won't allow any printing because it keeps telling me to add paper (which I keep adding different amounts to the tray). Is there a blocked sensor in there I can fix?

Take out the tray and look for a mechanical sensor (or optical sensor in the printer) and see if they are jammed or covered in dust.
