HP Printer says cartridge missing/damaged but it's not

Help.

Put in new non-HP cartridge. Printer immediately said cartridge missing/damaged but it's not. Still saying that, although I have since then replaced again, with another new non-HP cartridge from another supplier.

Printer is HP Officejet 6500A-PLUS.

you will have to get hp ink cartridge there made with a device that printer know it is made from hp .

+1 Many of the HP cartridges now have a chip that doesn't work properly on remanufactured or refilled cartridges.
