HP Pro 3520 all in one CPU upgrade LGA 1155 core i5/i7 possible??

Solution
If HP says it can only take up to an i3, then it probably can only take up to an i3. While the H61 chipset does support Core i5 and i7 2000 series CPUs on paper, the motherboard vendor must provide BIOS support for it, and HP likely hasn't, which is why they say it only supports up to an i3. There are also thermal constraints to consider, all-in-one PCs are basically immobile laptops and tend to have weaker cooling systems that are designed to be compact rather than to cool high heat output CPUs. Even if you popped in an i5 or i7 and it did work, you may run into overheating problems.
