Hello everyone,

I recently bought HP Probook 440 G4. I already have licence of windows 8.1 (64bit) so I didn't bothered buying latest OS. When I searched for drivers I found drivers of only Windows 10bit and specially DISPLAY driver does not match.

Can anyone help?

No luck with that too. :(

You don't need to rely on HP for that. Download the driver directly from the manufacturer. As per specs, your machine has Intel HD Graphics 620.

Download the driver directly from Intel:

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26404/eng/win64_154510.4542.exe

The driver supports Windows 7,8 and 10. It is 64-bit, so please double check that your OS indeed is 64bit (in system properties).

EDIT: A good thing to do before installation would be to first uninstall the current drivers. Reboot, then install new ones.

Yes, I installed 64bit drivers.

HP clearly states:

"This product does not support Windows 8 or Windows 7. In accordance with Microsoft support policy, HP does not support the Windows 8 or Windows 7 operating system on this product or provide any Windows 8 or Windows 7 drivers"

You need to be using Windows 10 on that model if you want to avoid driver issues. It's crystal clear that only Windows 10 is officially supported on it. You created your own problem by ignoring that.

I totally agree Sir. I am really regreting it now. :(
I think your answer means there is NO WAY I can install graphics driver until I upgrade to Windows 10?

I have tried installing through manually selecting from Update Driver Software but I am getting "The driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows" error.

I am installing it from scratch. I am upgrading Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver from Device Manager and the result is same. Is there a way to make changes in inf or dll files, if possible. (Just asking)
