I have a HP System
Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 4300G (Renoir) 3.8 GHz Base frequency, up to 4.0 GHz maximum boost clock, 4 MB L3 cache, and 4 cores and 8 threads 65 W
Motherboard: HP name: Erica5, SSID: 87D7 Form factor Customized: 29.09 x 20.3 cm (11.45 x 7.99 in) Chipset B550A
I want to upgrade the processor to AMD Ryzen 7. HP states that I can do this with the:
AMD Ryzen 7 4700G (Renoir) 3.6 GHz Base frequency, up to 4.4 GHz maximum boost clock, 8 MB L3 cache, and 8 cores
65 W
Since this is OEM can I use a different AMD Ryzen 7 that I find on the market such as:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor that's listed on Amazon
Thanks,
