hi, will the Ballistix 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 1600MHZ BLS8G3D1609DS1S00.16FER or BALLISTIX 16GB 8GBx2 ddr3 1600MHZ BLS8G3D1609DS1S00.16FND work in hp - comp

Depends on the CPU and motherboard. Assuming it fits the specs, then the larger size memory might also require a BIOS flash. There is no way to tell without knowing the CPU and motherboard.

I bought an HP "refurb" from Newegg back in March and was able to get all sorts of manuals and info direct from the HP site. I strongly recommend that you find your HP model number and go to the HP site for a plethora of info.
