Hello all. I have been having my hp scanjet 2200c for a long time. Last night I accidently stepped on the top of the scanner and the glass where you place your pictures broke and shattered but the scanner still works.
I was trying to be mr. fix it and while trying to clean the broken shards of glass inside the scanner. I then discovered that one of the mirrors was also cracked.
I had to remove some screws to get more of the glass shards, once the screws were removed the belt that is connected to the moter which makes the main scanner part move up and down to scan a image came off of the gears which it was connected to.
It had a small silver piece which looks like a spring and a clamp but I can not remember how this was attached.
If anyone knows where I could get a replacement glass for the scanner and maybee a replacement mirror(although scanner still works) but I can still use it if anyone out there can post a pic of the inside of the hp scanjet 2200c I can figure out how to put it back together.
I doubt HP will send me a new scanner because it soo old and the warranty is over.
So if someone out there has the same model scanner and could post a pic of the inside I would appreciate it soo much. Thanx
