While I cannot say with absolute certainty, it is unlikely since the different manufacturers would use different screen cables and more.

Highly unlikely.

The only way I'd consider going down that road is if I had a specific teardown of all parts, and specific steps and detailed pic/video of someone else doing it.


Even then...why not just buy the relevant screen?

I figured I’d ask. Have an old hp that doesn’t work and of course, hit the screen at work and cracked the good one. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thanks folks.

I actually used to have 50 laptop lcd:s just stacked up and i took the one which fit in and had same connector. There are some things to consider like i said connector needs to be the same, also if you try to use LCD screen which is FHD (1920x1080) resolution and your laptops eDP cable is only 1 lane you will not get it to work.

both laptops are sold with different resolution screens with different connectors, theres noway to know before you open the screen bezel and check either the model number or what connector it has.
Are both laptop screens 1080p?
