HP Slimline suddenly very slow

My HP Slimline is suddenly running very slow. Takes forever for web pages and desktop programs to open...this used to be a very fast pc...my pc is about 2 years old and os is Windows 7 64-bit.. 3 GB ram...use it for work and home. I have run all the usual tests and can find nothing...please help!

What do you mean by 'all the usual tests?" Can you be more specific? Have you run virus/malware scans and/or hardware tests (hard drive)? If the hardware is OK you might back up your files and do a recovery (F11 at bootup) which will bring your PC back to factory defaults.
