hp sparekey removal

If I wipe the hard drive clean can I remove hp sparekey because I cant change the boot selection because I don't have the password and they guy I got it off doesn't know either?

This is a security feature that is stored in the BIOS. Wiping the drive will not help remove this.

As a matter of site policy, we cannot assist with bypassing security features. We have no means to determine the legal ownership of the device in question. Based on this link, the previous owner may have forgotten the password, but should not have forgotten the answers to the questions. Seems this device has a dodgy origin story.
