Hp with amd or acer with intel

Im looking for a laptop, i have these two on mind because of my budget, im planing to change the hdd for a ssd to any i buy.

1- hp pavilion 15z-ab100, processor amd a8-7410 with radeon r5, 8 gb ram, 15.6". Price 349 usd

2- acer aspire E5-573-57DV, processor intel core i5-5200U, 4gb ram, 15.6", intel Hd graphics 5500. Prince 400 usd

What would you recommend me for programming (visual studio, sql server, netbeans, etc), everyday computing like surfing in the web, watch netflix or youtube, office and very casual play some games. I would like to hear why the acer and why the hp based on the both laptops have. Thanks

I would go with the HP as it has a Graphics card, more ram and cheaper price although the CPU is a bit better on the Acer as listed here:

But its up to you, more ram and gpu or less ram, no gpu but better cpu

The $350 version of the HP laptop with the A8-7410 APU does not have a dedicated graphics chip. The Radeon R5 (Carizzo) is an integrated graphics core inside the APU. It's performance is about that of the Intel HD 4000 from the 3rd generation Ivy Bridge Intel CPUs. The A8-7410 itself is also only about equal to a Core i3 CPU in performance.

The Acer laptop has a 5th generation Core i5 CPU with the Intel HD 5500. It will provide you with better gaming performance than the HP laptop.


If you spend $70 to upgrade the HP laptop with the Radeon R7 M360 graphics chip, then you should get better gaming performance compared to the Acer laptop since the R7 M360 is estimated to be about equal to the nVidia 920m.

I would go with the acer and upgrade the ram to 8.
