Question HP Z230 Windows 7 stuck in startup repair cycle, unable to boot into safe mode - option missing

Good Morning,

Can someone help me. I have a HPZ230 workstation with Windows 7 that keeps cycling in start-up repair at boot and fails. I have carried out a hard drive check and it's passing SMART and short checks. I am trying to boot into safe mode but F8 does nothing and when I press escape to bring up all the list of startup options Safemode/F8 isn't mentioned. Is there any way to get into safemode on these machines at boot, or does anyone have any advice to I can fix this issue and get Windows booting up properly again?

From what you've stated in your thread, it looks like your OS is corrupt. If that happens, often times you won't be able to get into Safe Mode either. Have you tried mashing the F8 key after you see the BIOS splash screen? Is Fast Boot disabled in BIOS?
