So I have got a HP Z600 workstation as a hand me down, I get it next week. Its a dual xeon set up, both quad core, 12 GB of ram. From what I believe it has a 650 watt bronze power supply in it but it only has a six pin PCI power connecter. What I would like to know what GPU I could put into this just to give it a purpose a the spare pc, of for my mates who come over. Only games we play aren't CPU intensive so it all should be fine. Then the fact I do a lot of things on 3ds Max and Maya despite this machines age, it should render a lot better than my i5 with a 1070. All I really want to know is if somebody has one of these machines and put decent graphics cards in them. I would like to get it sorted before I receive the z600.

I was planning on an RX 480 to be honest, I read that a lot of people could not get the old 560's to work as they needed two six pins ore some guys posted that the PSU rail can't cope with delivering the power, but I thought the RX 480 required 1 6 pin.
