I have a psu from a z620 and it seems to be modular was wondering if you could use it for a separate build as the motherboard for it doesn't work

Solution
So here will be your problem.

This is the current wiring for an ATX power supply.

1- 24 Pin connector a
1- 4 pin CPU connector

This is what you have.

1- 18 pin connector
1- 8 pin connector " For 2 CPU's via a Kit.

You're going to have to find out what goes where and what is missing.

ATX- 28 Pins
This one-26 pins
It probably lacks the 3V.

Your VGA connectors are also limited you can use 2X 6 pin or adapt it down to 1X8 pin.

I won't even get into the size and mounting issues.
