Hp zv6000 motherboard

my hp zv6000 is booting but the monitor shows a lot of lines and distortion. i can see the desktop in the background btu cannot clearly distingush anything clearly. can log off because i know where the dialogue box is. but cant work because cant see clearly beyond the lines and distortions. what is the problems and is there a solution.

Could be a few problems.

The monitor, the graphics card, the graphics driver, the power supply or the cables.

Start narrowing things down by updating your graphics driver, checking your cables, testing a different monitor, graphics card or power supply if you can.
