[SOLVED] HP630 RAM Upgrade to 16GB

Have an i5 (Sandy Bridge) 8GB RAM HP630 laptop. Currently running W7 64.

HP says maximum RAM is 8GB. Seeking feedback on whether anyone has been able to exceed that limit, with or without BIOS update.

Goal is upgrade to 16GB RAM and W10 64.

Some HP's are able to upgrade to 16GB, HP pro book on Youtube ? what ever that is. Don't know if ProBook is the same

Usually upgrading the hard drive will make the best performance increase, Upgraded my Toshiba C55 to 16GB of memory and it was ok but the Adata 960GB SSD made it a screamer!
