Is 60Tflops really even a supercomputer anymore?
I think they got the wrong number there.


"HPE says that on applications, Crossroads will have about 4X the oomph of Trinity, which should mean somewhere around 165 petaflops at peak double precision."

They are probably talking per-core 60Tflops and maybe based on the amx bfloat16 tiled matrix operations.

The 60 TFlops number is high for a cpu, but I suspect Intel will also be connecting up their GPUs ... maybe the ponte vecchio 16 tile monsters that they are developing for Aurora.
