can i upgrade my hpz400 with gtx1080

It will likely have issues due to the other OEM motherboard.

What is the power supply wattage, does it have the power connectors needed for the card? Should be an 8 pin PCIe power cable.

Make sure you do a BIOS update on the computer and make sure the case has the space for the card you are looking at.

That is about a 6 year old system, I doubt getting a 1080 is worth it.

What is the best vido card that i can use for editing . i read i can upgrade up to quadro 5000, but then its a old card now and i feel there might be some new better cards with same technical aspects and it would be easy for me fix it. i read we got ot have powere sockets and sli options. so i really am confused

If you were going to buy a 1080 you are better off replacing the computer, you can get a used system with an Intel i7 CPU a few years old cheaper than what the 1080 will cost you. The Z400 is like a 10 year old model. Or build you own.
