HTC One M9 vs Samsung Galaxy S6?

Need to upgrade my phone and its between these two. Everywhere is saying the S6 is better but the smaller battery while also having a higher resolution screen is a bit of a draw back cause the battery life will be (in theory) much lower, also the lack of expandable memory is a bit annoying. I also currently have a HTC One mini 2 and love it so im more geared towards the HTC but still, everywhere is saying the samsung is better. So which option is better, and why?

Since you already heard/read that the s6 is better, all those reviews and comments should also have reasons as to why.
