For the last couple of weeks I've had issues with playing back videos using HTML5. Randomly while watching a video my computer freezes and I have to restart. I've reinstalled Windows 10 64bit and installed a new SSD to make sure its not my computer acting up. Please help me fix this issue id prefer to not have to go back to flash player.

Sidenote: disabling hardware acceleration didn't fix the issue.

Hi,

Does it happen also when using a different browser like Google Chrome?
- Start by installing Google Chrome and see if it the same problem will persist of not.
- Next is to run Windows Update and install all the updates available.
- Also do install all the latest driver for your wireless or LAN adapter and graphics card.
- Download and install the latest wireless adapter or LAN driver from the manufacturers site.
- For your graphics card, here's an article you can use.

If these doesn't work do also try these thread that may help.

Since you didn't mention what browser(s) you were using, here's multiple browser help:

However, most video problems are caused by your GPU driver. Uninstall, reinstall or get the right one.
