Hi All
I have the following setup as a HTPC:
Lenovo H30-05
Processor: AMD A8 7410 / 2.2 GHz (2.5 GHz) (Quad-Core)
Cache Memory: 2 MB
Cache Per Processor: 2 MB
RAM : 8 GB (installed) / 8 GB (max) - DDR3L SDRAM - PC3L-12800
Storage Controller: SATA (SATA 6Gb/s)
Hard Drive: 1 TB - SATA
Optical Storage: DVD-Writer
Graphics Controller: NVIDIA GT 1030 LP 2GB
Audio Output: 5.1 channel surround
Networking: GigE, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Edition
I have connected this to my Toshiba 55U5863DB 55-Inch Smart 4K Ultra-HD HDR LED TV.
My issue is the playback of 4K HEVC 10bit MKV files - they appear 'foggy' during playback - it's only when I switch on "HDR and WCG" in windows Display Settings that the colours appear correctly, however the play back then becomes incredibly choppy to point of being unwatchable.
I have tried VLC, WMP, Kodi, MPC-HC x64 with MadVR and get the same result with all players.
Any advice would be appreciated - apologies in advance if I've missed out critical information!
