Http://www.dpbolvw.net, whenever I click a link it redirects me here!

This is terrible. Every internet browser has the same problem (Chrome, Internet Explorer, and yes, firefox). Whenever I click a link going to Newegg, I get redirected by an unknown force to http://www.dpbolvw.net, and then the browser says "Failed to load", "Internet explorer/ Firefox couldn't connect".

This is a huge hassle for me, especially since I'm browsing advice, for example somebody suggested a HDD drive, and a case for me but I get redirected to http://www.dpbolvw.net .

I've googled this, and 1 guy had the same problem as me. Back in 2006. And fixes are nonexistent.

I don't think I have a virus either, I have Nod32 and I don't get any virus detection or anything like that.

check you Proxy settings under Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings

I have no idea how to do that or what you are talking about, and no I don't run a proxy.

some spyware will set a proxy setting which will redirect you.

Goto Start > Control Panel
Here you choose Internet Options > Connections (TAB on top) > LAN Settings (Button)

Make sure the Proxy Server is unchecked

It's not the proxy server option!!!!!! If it was the proxy server box was checked by accident, nothing would get through, unless of course you are connecting to a proxy server.

Don't forget to scan your computer for infections, those things will redirect you like a mo fo.

Also, check your hosts file for the site that you keep getting redirected to.

No need in saying its not a virus/spyware/maleware as it is. This happens to me every... Few years or so and no matter what I do, reinstalling the OS is the only option to get rid of it.

Once I've reinstalled I go to the HDD that had all my backups saved and instantly AVG or Avsat will detect a virus/trojan even though they couldn't before. The virus has obviously worked into your anti-virus. So get a seperate HDD, back everything up, reinstall your OS, and before you try to connect your backed up data back to your main rig, make sure you have spybot, malewarebytes, Avsat or AVG installed and fully updated before doing so. Then disconnect of the internet, and start running the HDD for scans one by one on all the programs listed above, and I assure you, you will find hundreds of infections.

Start in safe mode, do a malware scan using Malwarebytes.

Check your hosts as schm1tty suggested, lots of time items get put in there that redirect you and it's such an old hack many people forget about it.

You will probably need to download Malwarebytes on another PC and then install it on yours in Safe Mode.

yes seems to be a spyware/malware infestation.
Check your HOST file in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc"
That could contain redirects to malware sites.

I just think it's sad that this hasn't been actually answered yet.

The site www.dpbolvw.net is a click based ad network trafficker that newegg specifically uses (other sites use it as well) which is commonly blocked by people because it is part of an ad service. There is no malpractice going on at all, it is not spyware/malware or anything of the sort. These people have no idea what they're talking about.

If you have this same problem and are getting links redirected to this blocked dpbolvw.net site, it is clearly obvious that somewhere along your path to the internet someone has an ad-blocker set up to remove these types of things. I personally have this set up on my router so that any computers that access my internet don't have ads; as a result sometimes I run across these redirect links that are normally in place but people don't see which get blocked. Many services for your computer can also block ads like this. So once again, there is nothing wrong with your computer, you're just blocking ads.

A fairly easy way around this is to simply right-click and go to the link instead of clicking down on it (which activates a javascript i think).
