[SOLVED] Huawei F2000 Eircom

Can anyone recommend a good replacement for Huawei F2000 from Eircom, as i want a modem with abit more strengh and signal for wifi or recomend a wifi range exttender not the plugin ones or will can i bridge the exsiting router with a new one for wifi in another area of my house new to modems and networking

You need to check with your ISP what they support allow. The device has voice ports on it which generally means you can not replace it with another device.

If you can't replace it for the reason that @bill001g said, what you would do is turn OFF the WIFI on the F2000 and add a dedicated WIFI access point connected by ethernet to the F2000.
The dedicated WIFI AP also allows you to move the WIFI source, without moving the router.

Yes, if you use the ISP device for VOIP, you can't easily swap it. It will be much simpler to disable WIFI on the ISP device and add separste WIFI hardware.
