HUGE DILEMA, (1080p)

I'm building a Home Theater PC, (HTPC)...I would like to future proof the video card. Will NVidia and/or ATI be building there new cards with true 1080P support,HDMI, in the future ? What about DirectX 10,(9.0L) hardware support. I'm going to upgrade to Vista come the fall. My question is do I wait for these fetures ? or give up and and bite the bullet now without these support fetures? THX for the advise.

Yes, wait, while they all support 1080P now, they will support HDCP and have HDMI connectors, in the future, but not right now.

I hear that the PS3 will be sporting 1080p high definition resolution video playback. But my 7800GTX which is $500 is not sporting it. I like watching movies on my pc on occasion and I could really need more quality improvement. Lastly, anyone know if the 7900 will be supporting these feature?
