Hi,
For a longer while I played a bunch of games with great FPS despite high graphics settings and everything was fine but couple of weeks ago I started experiencing really big FPS drops for no apparent reason. This problem occured in all of my games exeption being Hellblade: Senua's Saqcrifice.
Games that I play and fps drops occur: Diablo 3, Path of Exile, League of Legends, osu! (yeah...even osu...), World of Warships, Overwatch.
In League fps compared what is happening on screen goes like this:
Game starts - 280 fps
First time moving my character - drop to 30
I go to my lane - fps jumps to 150
minions spawn - drop to 30
I walk into a bush (shadows change) - drop to 40 fps.
It's not a rule that it drops like this but it's about 70% chance for it to happen.
To fix these drops I tried everything I found on forums:
Reinstalled games, reinstalled system, scanned computer for malware, updated all drivers, tried older drivers, set system to high performance, set high performance in nvdia control panel, installed new version of BIOS, installed new drivers for my network card, dusted off all interior of my pc, checked all voltages (only one that is off is on 3,3V line being 3,136V instead of lowest 3,14V recommended), temperatures are all fine (around 40C degrees).
Then I tried playing with MSI Afterburner on, to see CPU and GPU usage. What I found is that in all games that didn't use GPU in 100% (Hellblade did use that 100%) usage dropped to below 10% when the fps drops occured, even though seconds before usage was at around 60%.
I have no idea what else that I went over could be causing these drops.
