Few days ago i just bought a Nvidia GTX 750 OC 1GB GDDR5 and i have to say that is worse than my old Radeon 3400 made in 2008 :|. After 10-15 mins, my fps drops from 50 to 15-20, the PC goes crazy and many times i have to restart it. I also did everything right to install the new graphic card, connected all cables and things over there nothing wrong in the hardware. I also installed the latest drivers. I dont know, i'm really dissappointed... Also the web browsing / file browsing works slower...
SPECS :
Intel Pentium Dual Core @ 2.5GHz
Asus nVidia GTX 750 OC 1GB GDDR5
Foxconn G31MX
4GB RAM DDR3

Your CPU is bottlenecking the GPU as it is too old to be compatible with the new GPU. I suggest you upgrade your CPU to say i5 3rd/4th gen for optimal performance. Also that card needs a PCIe X16 3.0 slot. SO if you are using older PCIe X16 slot like 1.1 or 2.0, the bandwidth it reduced to make the GPU backward-compatible, thus affecting performance.

Few obvious points:
Nvidia and AMD drivers don't play nice together, it's very important to fully uninstall and sweep the HDD of ALL AMD/ATI drivers and software, something like Driversweeper or DriverFusion should be run in Safe Mode to fully clear out the AMD/ATI drivers/software.
Any previously installed tuning/tweaking software should also be uninstalled and any saved profiles/data deleted.
The latest WHQL certified drivers from the Nvidia website should also be installed, don't use the drivers that came on the install disc, don't use Beta software and don't use drivers/software from any one else.

Well, few mins ago, b4 posting this, i found that my antivirus ( AVG ) was turned off since.. i have no ideea... also my Firewall aswell... i'm thinking about a complatly windows reinstall. I hope i will solve my problem by this way.
BUT ! Before reinstalling, I cannot figure it out... How can a processor affect a GPU... That's the last thing that i could think about before buying a new Graphic Card X.X
I will change my CPU anyway but not so soon as the graphic card, even it's cheap in other countries ( somewhere around 120-130 euros ( i'm from Europe )
here is somewhere like 190-200 euros... that's almost 300$ i guess, so a i5 might be up to 300 euros ( 3rd gen ) and 4th gen, not even dreaming about that... So i'm searching for a way to make my GPU and my old CPU compatible in a way, idk how, maybe by tweaking with some programs... no ideea.
And for the motherboard... I have completly no ideea what type of PCI slot i am using... And i'm not searching for the best quality for gaming ( not the lowest btw ) and for the best performance by playing them... ( When u get 30-35 fps in Battlefield 3 for a Graphic Card that was made in 2008 ( my old one Radeon 3400 ) and u get somewhere like 10-15 fps for a brand new 2014 GPU... quite dissappointing )

Thx for support anyway

Ain't no fu*k X.X I just downloaded the program u listed above and my temp of my CPU cores are ( while writing this to you without any other app on ) : #1 - 84-89 degrees and #2 - 85-90 degrees ( also my GPU is 31-32 degrees )
Holy cow ! 90 degrees to a CPU ? shouldn't that burn him ? I can cook my breakfast eggs on my CPU btw..
Also max temp is registered to 99 degrees ( i guess the program cannot read the temp that is over 100 degrees and i have no doubts with reaching that temp... )

Yeah that has got to be your problem. It won't necessarily burn up at 90 but it isn't good for it.

When it gets to those temps it will slow down to keep from burning up which is no doubt why your system is so slow now.

You must have changed something (like knock the CPU cooler loose?) when you were changing out the GPU

Yeah, i have noticed that after 10 mins i get lower and lower fps so it's logical that high CPU temp causes it.
Now i'm wondering of what u said above witth my CPU cooler... I opened the case and the cooler it's running/spinning.
But i can remember than i dissassambled all components of from my motherboard ( including my CPU and my CPU cooler to clean the up from dust ) and as i'm not the guru of computers i may have done something wrong when i assamblied ( those words are so complicated and i'm sorry if you find any grammatically issue as i'm not a english speaker :# ) my computer back.
Anyway i'm trying to reinstall my windows and i will give a feedback after i do that.

Thx for support anyway :)

You don't need to reinstall your system. Don't do that.
Check if all screws on the cooler are tight, and if you have thermal paste at home, then I'd recommend reapplying thermal paste.
There is nothing wrong with your system or graphics card. Don't waste your time tweaking those.

Well i already reinstalled it so....
And i wish i could have some thermal paste at home but i actually don't have... And also i replaced the cooler and it was still lagging after that.
So i found a guy that said to lower the performance of my CPU and that actually was a solve, the CPU was still heating but not as fast as before but anyway that caused me to run at a performance that lowers the CPU freq with 500 MHz and now i run with both at 2.0 GHz.
Anyway i consider this thread is solved but if u know any ideea that could help me please post it
Thx 😉
