I recently updated my RAM from a 2400Mhz G-skill Cl15 to a 3200MHz Corsair RGB Pro CL16kit. After (sucessful installation) I noticed large FPS drops but now the old ram is exhibiting them too.
I now have WAY worse problems than I had before.
A few mistakes were made here.
I now have horrendous low fps drops and the worst input lag I've ever experienced, like V-sync off the charts input latency (even with high FPS). when the FPS drops the inoput latency isnt respective to said FPS. Its like dragging the mouse through molasses.
Is the memory controller or MOBO broken why am I suddenly getting such crazy input latency? Such a shame becuase I finally solved my stuttering after months of relentless troubleshooting and I throw it all away by putting new ram in.

- Upon installing I didn't rest the BIOS, it wouldn't boot and I had both CPU error Red light and DRAM Orange LIGHT
- I didn't realise that using XMP puts strain on the CPU Memory controller and that the 1.35V OC that XMP applied.
- When booting the new RAM I had timing on auto but speed set to 2400MHZ

Have:
- Installed Old RAM
- Reset BIOS
- Turned XMP off and on.
- Used different ports for mouse.
