So I don't know what happened, but three days ago something happened where I can't open most of my programs.
Here is the list of programs I've tested with, all of these are my most used ones also.
Work:
Google Chrome, Teamspeak and Spotify all open without issue.
Not work:
All Blizzard games (I can open the hub and talk to people, just when I click on games nothing happens) I don't play Blizzard games as often, but I just used it as a test to see if I could.
Steam (I can put in my username and password and it attempts to login before completely disappearing) This is obviously huge because pretty much all my games are on Steam.
Skype (Exactly the same as Steam, I can log in and as it's logging in it completely disappears)
League of Legends (I can log completely in, join peoples parties, go in champion select, buy stuff off the store, but if I go into champion select and the game opens I will not connect)
Now one that is weird is I can't use the 'AMD Gaming Evolved' client to possibly roll back a driver or something (Tried testing whatever I could).
I've tried a few things to fix the issue and (Tried reinstalling all programs, rolling back drivers) through talking to my friends who know a lot about computers and googling I couldn't really find the issue so as of now I'm completely lost on this issue.

Now here's another huge problem. I thought about just reformatting my computer completely (I don't have the disc / code or whatever as it's been a long time since I used it and I just misplaced it) by upgrading to Windows 10 through the free upgrade, it acts as a reformat (If you set it to not take any files with it). This has two other issues completely separate from this other issue:
One of the issues is I don't actually have the Windows 10 upgrade. I contacted Microsoft about it and they said you'll get the free update once you fully update my current Windows 7 (I have 4 important updates), but here is the catch... I can't. Every time I restart my computer or it restarts it self (God damn Windows Update) it does the update for about 20 minutes and then I get "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer" which takes about an hour or so. It's extremely frustrating waiting about an hour and half to two hours for nothing to happen. I've googled this and tried a couple things (Deleting Cache, Using Microsoft Repair thing) and tried talking to Microsoft, but Microsoft support is terrible and was just linking me to the same things I already told them I've done multiple times.
So I'm building a new gaming rig at the end of the Month or Mid December, but I'm sort of on a budget and thought I could just use my current hard drive (As it's pretty decent) and it would just bring my windows 7 with it (Which would be windows 10 eventually, I'd upgrade when the computer is fully working). This way I save about 100+ dollars so I asked if I could do this on the /r/buildapc[1] and they told me I could do it as long as I don't upgrade to Windows 10 before hand as they will ask for the product key and all that other jazz which I do not have.

Obviously there is a simple solution to this, deal with it for a month and then when I get my new computer just buy a new OS and HDD. Which is a good solution, but not something I'd like to do. Being bored for a month with no games + not being able to talk to my friends on skype (Web skype is terrible) + having to spend more money on my already tight budget.
List of priority on the issues just to explain myself a bit more:
Fixing programs not working/opening: Probably have to deal with this computer for the next month or two and I plan on giving this computer to my brother or parents when I'm done with it.
Fixing the update issue. This would allow me to get Windows 10 whenever I want and save me a lot of time on reboots. Could also possibly fix the programs issue?
And the kicker again is I have to do this whole thing without upgrading Windows 10 and staying on budget by not having to spend money on an HDD and a new OS.
Specs:
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU Intel Core i5 3450 @ 3.10GHz 33 °C Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard Foxconn 2ADA (CPU 1) 28 °C
Graphics S24B150 (1920x1080@60Hz) 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7400 Series (MSI) 40 °C
Thank you for your time! I can't imagine these issues would be that hard to fix, but I've spent a lot of time fixing both issues and I'm just completely lost at this point and I hope you guys can help.
