Hey guys!

So, whenever I play CS:GO, my ping jumps to 300-1200ms then goes back to 20ms and few seconds later it jumps again, the game became unplayable sometimes for me, I play this game for 2 years, never had such problem, tho it's cause of win10 so I downgraded to win7 but the problem is still there. I'm on wifi and my brother has no problems whatsoever. I also noticed high ping in teamspeak while playing csgo, but when I close csgo, my ping on ts cames back to 8ms. My internet is quite good, when I run speedtest i got : Ping - 1ms, Down speed - 21mbps Up speed - 4.5ms.

Please help me guys I can't play this game anymore.

wifi for the most part is unreliable at times, mainly because of how many factors can actually interfere with it.

the main thing that could be an issue is the channel itself, some channels are used more so than others and when that's the case your neighbors wifi can actually interfere with your own. this program lets you check a list of all nearby wifi channels, the goal after that is to log into your router and change the 2.4 wifi to a channel that is the least used around your area.

on another note, i would HIGHLY recommend using a wired connection for gaming, it will make the biggest difference. ping/stability would become more reliable through a wired...

it also wouldn't hurt to try and disable your antivirus software when gaming, you wouldn't believe how many times antiviruses have been the culprit of ping spikes.

8/10 times, it's your ISP's fault, anything can pretty much go wrong from your router - to your ISP's central hub - to the counter strike servers (the game itself recently had an update (sometimes updates also indicate that netcode might have changed.) could also be steam acting up but the first thing i'd make sure is that your connection is fine on your end.

open up your command prompt and run tracert google.com
copy/paste your results.
