Huge ping spikes while playing games

Just built a new pc and have started having massive spikes in games pretty consistently. these weren't happening before on the old setup with same modem/router. ive pinged my gateway and various websites all to no avail. have run netalyzer and use googles dns servers. deleted and re-downloaded drivers.i feel like ive tried everything. is it possible that the new motherboard could be causing the issue?

I would recommend trying a few things.. one; make sure you have the most up to date driver installed for your NIC (network card), or try a re-install of it.

Secondly, make sure there aren't any applications using your Internet connection that you are not aware of.

Have you tried not using google DNS and using your routers? I have heard about issues with using Google's.

If you don't mind trying something: without a game running, open a command prompt and type:

netstat -a

and also:

netstat -es

Take screenshots of output

Fire up a game game until the bad ping starts, tab back out and run those same 2 commands again (with game running)

take screenshots or cut and paste. Post all the results here.

yeah i actually switched to their servers to see if it would fix it. alright. finished the game and ran it a few times as well as before playing. here are results.

Nothing seemingly out of the ordinary there as far as i can tell, have you tried updating NIC driver?

Also, did you re-install the games fresh when you changed to the new system? Or did you move them over?

Hey there, sorry for late response.

I would try re-installing Windows. Then fresh install of NIC driver.

Also, not sure if this is an option -but do you have your old system? If so hook it up and do some gaming and see what happens.

What kind of graphics card are you using on the new system?
