can't play any games or even browse most of the time, have 30mbps dl and 6.5 upload, and constant ping spikes up to 15,000 sometimes, and time outs while on wired connection with wireless networking enabled in router settings, as soon as i turn off wireless networking the problem goes away, i would appreciate someone helping me find out the culprit of the massive ping spikes.

Is your wireless network secure: did you change the default login and password on the router?

Likewise is your wireless secure: SSID, password, encryption? Not left at the router's default values.

Check any antennas. Make sure that they are securely in place. Re-orient in different directions.

What router are you using? Access the admin pages: look for logs (if available and enabled). See if there is map or list showing the devices on your network. Look for a device that is not there.

If you have multiple wireless devices turn them all off. Start gaming (wired) and then turn on the wireless devices one by one waiting long enough to see each of them join the network. Perhaps there is a problem with one particular device or combination of devices. Check all IP addresses to ensure no IP duplicates are occuring.
