Hello,
I'm worried about my hard drive, it's a seagate ST3500320AS disk.
two weeks ago, this hard disk crashed by an unknown reason [the system didn't recognize the hard drive anymore, i didn't have done something unusual]
Now, two weeks later, my returned RMA hard disk [again, an ST3500320AS disk] has some huge smart data on Raw error rate, hardware ecc recovered.
The strange thing is, when I do an disk check with HD Tune 2.55, the data on RAW ERROR RATE grows enormious. but when it's finished [see last image] the raw error rate is reducing
I have here some screenshots of Everest, maybe it could help to explain it a lot more.
Is this disk going to die? or don't have I to worry about this?
As you can imagine, i'm not really happy with this results. The crash two weeks ago caused a lot of data-loss, so I didn't have some school documents anymore, and don't prefer, if this disk fails, to choose another Seagate HDD.
Which disk could you advice? I need a lot of reliability.
is this a good choice: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=487 ?
Thanks in advance,
