Question Huge stuttering after switching from NVidia 1050Ti to AMD RX 6600 ?

MB:ASROCK AB350 PRO4
CPU:RYZEN 5 5500
GPU: RX 6600 8GB running PCI-E 3.0 8x
PSU: 700W RATED 650W= 1stCool White Storm - 700W
RAM 2X 8GB KINGSTON 2400 CL15
2 monitors:
144Hz main one 24G1WG4 runnin DISPLAYPORT
60Hz old one BenQ FP91GX runnin DVI-D

Got M2 SSD
and 1TB SATA HDD

WIN 10 64BIT
BIOS 7.40 (newest one)



So my problem is.

I switched from 1050ti to rx 6600.
Whole PC is stuttering,games have normal-good fps for the setup,but huge microlags/stuttering.
When I open 2 chrome tabs each on 1 monitor videos are lagging,loading randomly with 120sec buffer (not connection issue)
Even any other things on chrome are laggy and whole PC stutters, Mouse is laggy.
What feels very odd to me is when I turn off HW acceleration on chrome and I watch video/something else CPU runs at 100%
But when I play games the FPS are good...sometimes it has random drops and stuttering,but the performance meaning max fps/avg fps are around what they should be.

I tried to reinstall windows.
Installed drivers only.
Installed drivers+amd software.
Updated chipset.
Bios updated to latest version.
Undervolting GPU
Overclocking GPU.
UNPARKED CPU.
Updated all drivers.
RAM in DUAL channel (runned MEMTEST)
RAM DEFUALT 2400Mhz/Overclocked 2800Mhz
RESET BIOS to defualt.

ON/OFF amd SMART memory
I tried only 1 monitor

I dont really know what else to try or do.
Any ideas would be very helpfull.

Max I can do Is 3000 CZK thats around 125$

My choices on that website you linked for under 3000, I doubt you need an 850W but if you can squeeze in more money to get it then even better.

Your system doesn't really need much more than a good 650w. Higher is good for future upgrade headroom though. I saw some seasonic units on there, but I am not sure on how good those models are, and the 5yr warranty doesn't come off as something they really stand behind, like their 7yr and 10yr warrantied units. This unit, however, is a great quality unit, and seasonic built, and 10yr warranty.

Or is the PSU Ive got really that crappy?
Cuz I really hope its the PSU thats causing the problems.
I really dont wanna pay that much money if its not gonna fix my problem.

But I had the 1050ti and when I try to OC I got much lower OC Mhz then others.
So I guess the PSU couldnt give it that much Power maybe.
Im gonna go with this EVGA one you linked.
Really hope its gonna fix the stuttering.

I purchased that exact same board, in a family member's rig. I mistakenly placed the two RAM chips in the wrong slots, however everything worked fine until I enabled XMP mode. The combination of the wrong RAM slots and XMP mode caused the computer to stutter madly.

Question: Is the RAM in the proper slots?

How to check from Windows:

command prompt command:

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, partnumber

Question: What is the BIOS version & date?

How to check from Windows:

In the windows search field, located to the left of the windows task bar <type> System Information

BIOS Version/Date (approximately 11th line down)

FYI: The most recent BIOS version / date (approximate) for that board is: 7.40 2022/11/11

Ive got BIOS 7.40 the newest one.
RAM are placed in dual channel correctly.

Wattage isn't your problem, it's the quality of the PSU itself that is. A poor power delivery can cause many issues. The RX6600 isn't a super power hungry card, but more so than a 1050ti.

I can’t guarantee that psu will fix things but it likely is something needing changed. You don’t have to watch the full video but I was looking at this video, in one portion they open up a 2000 watt power supply from overseas and another beside it and there appeared to be a big difference in the protections or lack of them on the cheaper one.

So got the PSU and it looks better.
Not fully sure that its all fixed.
I just installed 3200Mhz RAMs from my old 2400Mhz.

Will test how it works.

But its better for sure.

The 3200mhz ram should help also. Ryzen likes fast ram.

Not much problems since
