All,

I'm in a game playing the crystals and am allied with my solarian neighbor.
We have a planet that we share, each has a base on it.

When i launch a construction pod, and try to drop it in his base, it either
doesn't drop (turns orbital thrusters back on) or it lands in MY base on
that planets.

It contains 250mc, 250d, 250t, 250m.

Anyone know whats going on?

I don't believe you can land a pod an another player's base.
He needs to first capture the pod with a ship and then land it at his
own base.

2 things:
1. your allies must be switched to attack off
2. don't drop but DOCK it to your ally's base!
so when you launch the pod choose your ally's base as BOOST and DOCK
target. if the pod is already in orbit make orbital thrusters off and
make sure that the base is drop AND dock target.
then it should work. at least it works for me every turn.

you beat me on that ; )
AFAIK only life-pods land in your own base if you and your ally have a
base on the same planet. That has happened to me a few times. But I
never had any problems landing other pods in allied bases, except when
I forgot to set the dock target ; )

You can land pods in another base, but when you have a base of your own on
the same planet it will land in your base.
At least you have to set dock taget and drop target both to <AllieBase>

I have tested this with outfit pods
