There is a buzzing / frequency related noise I believe that is coming from my desktop computer but i cannot pin point where it is. I just built this computer yesterday and the sound seems to leave when i'm doing certain tasks, it's not there when in bios. the sound is very similar to this sound

It could be coil whine (google it), if it happens in games capping frame rate to 60 fps or turning on v-sync might help. If it happens when scrolling web pages in web browser you can disable hardware acceleration in about:config which should stop coil whine in web browser.

Well if it really is coil whine then that's very unfortunate. I heard sometime ago that some PSUs had coil whine problems. Also gfx card is often the culprit, did you overclock it?

You should open the case and try to pinpoint the component which is whining. For example if it's PSU perhaps you can ask for a replacement.

Doubtful that's coil whine, especially from an nvidia card, coil whine is usually associated with Amd cards, since they have entirely different power delivery architecture. What it sounds like to me is something loose, as in the clips holding the fan to the cpu cooler, the slot covers on the back near the i/o plate, reacting to vibrations from a fan or hdd spinning at a certain speed (check those mounting screws too)
