There is a somewhat loud humming coming from my Hard drive or CD drive. I was moving my computer around while it was off. If it helps my CD drive opens then closes right after I open it

Solution
Optical drives have sensors, usually microswitches, that tell the drive's microcontroller where the tray is. If the drive belt slips, then the tray never hits the appropriate switch, so the drive motor keeps driving until it times out.

Hey there, XxDaBombGamerxX!

I'd suggest to take out any CDs from your DVD/CD-ROM and check if the humming is still there.
If it is coming from the hard drive, it's definitely not a good sign and I strongly recommend backing up all the data from it.
Afterwards, I suggest you go to your HDD manufacturer's website and download their diagnostics tool to test the drive's health and SMART status data.

If it is coming from the CD-ROM, I suggest to clean the drive lens, dust them out. I hope that will make the humming go away.

Let me know how it goes! :)

It seems it's coming from the cd drive yet there is no cd...? BTW It's Western Digital Blue

Would it also cause it to where when you open the cd drive it closes again
