Hello, Folks
I am new to this forum so if so I hope you will forgive any newbie faux pas made.
I am currently living through an HP induced a$$grab which has ultimately required me to ship my 3month old HP Pavilion p7-1234 desktop back to them for testing and repair which will take them 15 "working days" to fix after they get it. Due to the nature of the problem, (I suspect software related) they aren't going to be able to fix it even if they replace it, so my nightmare with their tech support will continue unless I do something different. sorry for the long lead in but what I want to do and probably should have done in the first place is just make my own machine. I have already ordered and have upgrades for the HP p7 which include a SAPPHIRE Ultimate Radeon HD 6670, and a AMD A8-3850 along with 8Gb of DDR3 1600. If I cannibalize the p7 I will have 8Gb more of slightly slower ram. I also have a 650w power supply to run it all. I am not a gamer but I am a very heavy user, at any one time I will have 20 to 30 web pages open for research, and Gimp , along with a few word and power point windows. I have 3 monitors to try and keep it all straight. The only things I think I need now is an OS and motherboard. I would prefer a motherboard with integrated wireless and a few extra pci express x1 slots for the few miscellaneous USB 2 and 3 cards I have. and maybe a esata or 2 for the docking stations. I have looked over some of the six A75-Based motherboards and none quite come up to what I need. I'm sure there is a better combination of everything out there but this is what I have to work with and between $150 to $200 for the motherboard.
I would prefer a full sized motherboard to match the cases I have left over from other builds but the primary concern I have is for reliability, and second would be upgrade ability.

Can you suggest a good motherboard to bring all of this together on?

5years ago I would have been able to figure it all out but I am on disability now and have a few cognitive issues thet make this task far more difficult than it should be.

Thank you for the reply, I have a few atx cases of various sizes so I'm not too worried about that. I do have a question about the motherboard you suggested it has no onboard video, (not really a problem) but it has connections for video? I'm not sure I understand that. I like the suggestion for the most part except it seems to have very limited expansion. I understand that the FM-1 socket will have drawbacks but with what i have i want the CPU + GPU to work with the video card. Is there a Motherboard that has similar specs but more expansion possibilities?

Glad your not using the hp case. I did and it did not work. If you run the A8 in that board the video connectors will work using the A8 graphics. This:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-f1a75vevo Was my board and I paid a little less for it. I never got it to its full potential because fm-2 socket came out and I wanted the A-10. That board is full atx form but I thank they have a mini. This is a great board but not the best price. You can run 3 cards if you want .good building.
